I'm Not Body Positive. I'm Body Certain.

I'm Not Body Positive. I'm Body Certain.

I'm Not Body Positive. I'm Body Certain.

Let me tell you something that took me years to figure out.

I spent most of my life buying clothes that were designed to hide me. Not clothes that celebrated me. Not clothes that said I see you and I built this for you. Clothes that said here — this is the best we could do for a body like yours.

Oversized. Shapeless. Safe.

And I wore them because I believed that was all I deserved. That my body was a problem that needed solving before I could dress like I mattered.

That belief almost buried me.

I'm Breana Johnson — founder of Kall Her Beauti and the Kall Her Beauti Empowered Initiative. And I didn't build this brand because body positive fashion is trending. I built it because I needed it and it didn't exist. Because every plus-size woman I know has stood in a dressing room under fluorescent lights and felt invisible. And I decided that needed to stop.

Here's what I actually believe about body positive fashion — and it might surprise you.

I don't love the term "body positive." Not because the idea is wrong but because it implies that accepting your body is something you have to work up to. Something you earn. Something you achieve on a good day when the lighting is right and the scale cooperates.

I'm not body positive. I'm body certain.

My body is not a before photo. It is not a work in progress. It is not something I am learning to tolerate while I wait to become something else.

My body is the vehicle that carried me through 9 years of a marriage that tried to convince me I was worthless. It raised four children. It survived things that should have broken it. It stood on a hallway floor with nothing but a blanket and a phone and found a laugh it had forgotten existed.

This body is not a problem. This body is a miracle.

And the clothes I wear should know that.

What body positive fashion actually means at Kall Her Beauti:

It means I don't scale up a size 4 pattern and call it inclusive. I design for real bodies — for the way fabric needs to drape across a curve, move with a hip, sit on a shoulder that carries real weight.

It means the words on your clothes are not decoration. When you put on a Kall Her Beauti piece and it says Sista Keeper across your chest or Heavy on the Confidence on your sleeve — that's not a slogan. That's an affirmation you wear every single time you reach for your coffee or glance in a mirror. Those words are doing work even when you forget they're there.

It means I charge the same price across every size from S to 5XL. Because your body size is not a surcharge. It is not an inconvenience. It is not extra. Your curves are a legacy and they deserve to be treated like one.

It means when you see our clothes being worn it's by real women with real bodies living real lives. Not a checkbox. Not a casting choice. The standard.

What to look for when you're shopping in 2026:

The plus size fashion market is growing — fast. Which means there are more options than ever and also more brands willing to use the language of empowerment without the substance behind it.

Here's how I shop and how I'd encourage you to shop:

Does this brand show women who look like me wearing their clothes — not just in a token campaign but consistently, as their standard? Does their messaging make me feel powerful or just accepted? Because there's a difference. Accepted means they tolerated making room for me. Powerful means they built the room for me specifically.

Is their size range inclusive from day one — not added as an afterthought when the demand got loud enough to ignore? Does their fit guide actually tell me how the garment fits a real body or does it just list measurements and leave me guessing?

And most importantly — do I feel something when I look at their clothes? Not just that's cute. Something deeper. Something that says that piece knows who I am.

Why this matters more right now than it ever has:

We are living in a moment where social media can build your confidence and destroy it in the same scroll. Where algorithms show you what you're supposed to look like before you've even finished your morning coffee. Where every platform has an opinion about what your body should be doing differently.

The brands that are winning right now are not winning because of their ad spend. They're winning because women are choosing with their values not just their wallets. They're asking — does this brand actually see me? Does it celebrate me or just tolerate me? Does it understand that my confidence is not contingent on my size?

At Kall Her Beauti we are building the brand I needed when I was standing in that dressing room feeling invisible. Every collection. Every piece. Every affirmation sewn into every sleeve.

Because your body is not a problem to be solved. It is a story to be celebrated.

And I built clothes worthy of that story.

Come find yours. 👑💕
